Permanent hair removal, tailored to you
Electrolysis provides precise, permanent hair removal for every skin tone and hair type. Whether you’re removing unwanted facial or body hair, preparing for gender-affirming surgery or seeking care that better aligns with who you are, eleQTro spot is here to support you.
What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis removes unwanted hair by treating each individual hair follicle. A very fine probe is inserted into the follicle, where a small amount of electrical energy disables the cells responsible for future hair growth. The treated hair is then gently removed.
Because electrolysis works directly within the follicle rather than targeting pigment, it can treat all hair colors—including blonde, gray, red and white hair—and every skin tone.
Multiple appointments are necessary because hair grows in different stages. With consistent treatment, each area gradually becomes smoother as active follicles are permanently treated.

Electrolysis vs. laser hair removal
What’s the difference?
| Feature | Electrolysis | Laser Hair Removal | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | Treats individual hair follicles using electrical energy | Uses light energy to target pigment in the hair | |
| Hair colors | Works on every hair color | Generally most effective on darker hair | |
| Skin tones | Works on every skin tone | Results and device suitability vary by skin tone | Treatment areas | Ideal for precise facial and body treatment | Often used for larger areas | Results | Permanent removal of treated follicles | Long-term hair reduction; maintenance may be needed |
| Treatment pace | Treats one follicle at a time | Treats multiple hairs at once |
Laser can be helpful for reducing larger areas of dark hair, while electrolysis is better suited for permanent removal and hair that laser cannot effectively target. Some clients use laser first and complete their results with electrolysis.
What to expect
1. Personalized consultation
We’ll discuss your goals, treatment areas, hair-removal history and any medical or surgical timeline that may affect your care.
2. Your treatment plan
Your electrologist will recommend an appointment length and frequency based on the size of the area, density of the hair and your individual growth patterns.
3. Treatment
During the appointment, individual follicles are carefully treated. Sensation varies by person and treatment area, but your comfort will be considered throughout the session.
4. Aftercare
Temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling can occur after treatment and usually settles with proper aftercare. You’ll receive instructions for keeping the area clean, calm and protected while it heals.
5. Continued progress
Because only actively growing hairs can be effectively treated, electrolysis requires a series of appointments. Staying consistent allows us to treat new growth as it appears and work toward permanent results.
